Achievements
1. Established Two Orphanage Homes – Successfully set up and manage two orphanage homes (one for boys and one for girls), currently housing 63 orphans.
2. Built a Dedicated Team – Employed and trained a team of matrons, cooks, security personnel, cleaners, a social worker, and a doctor to provide care and support to the children.
3. Education Support – Opened school and enrolled orphaned children in school and provided them with necessary educational materials, tuition, and mentorship.
4. Trauma Healing & Counseling – Conducted faith-based trauma healing sessions for children and vulnerable individuals affected by conflict and displacement.
5. Empowered Women & Youth – Trained young people and women in vocational skills and entrepreneurship, healing them become self-sufficient.
6. Partnerships & Networking – Built connections with churches, individual and community leaders support CHCI’s mission.
Challenges
1. Financial Constraints – Lack of consistent funding to sustain the orphanage homes, pay staff, and expand programs.
2. Limited Infrastructure – The orphanage homes require better facilities, such as additional sleeping areas, a school, a clinic, and a safe water supply.
3. Food & Nutrition – Ensuring daily meals and proper nutrition for 63 orphans remains a major challenge due to rising food costs.
4. Medical Care Gaps – Limited medical supplies and access to specialized healthcare for children.
5. Education Barriers – Shortage of uniforms, and learning materials, making it difficult for them to receive quality education.
6. Lack of Transportation – CHCI lacks a vehicle to transport children to school and medical facilities.
7. Sustainability – Without long-term funding or income-generating projects, CHCI struggles to ensure sustainability for its operations.
